2,000 Followers–THANK YOU

WHAT??? This is crazy! I feel like I just had 1,000–and THAT number was a shock!
I don’t know if I deserve it or not, haha, but I just have to say thank you all so so so much for reading my words, commenting your thoughts, and following my blog. You really don’t know how much it means to me.
Writing has helped me through some tough times and to know that I’m not alone, that I have people supporting me, and that I may have made a small impact on someone in the world is amazing.
So, again, THANK YOU ALL!! 🙂

New Interactive Poetry!

Several months ago, I began doing something I call interactive poetry, which is where I ask my followers to provide me with words for new poems. I would like to start this back up, but add to it.
The purpose of this blog was, partly, to grow as a writer and I think one of the best ways for me to do that is to challenge myself. Err… have you challenge me!
Words are great and I still appreciate them if you offer, but I am also opening this to photo prompts.
If you would like to give me words or a photo for me to write a poem on, comment on this post, email me, tweet me, tag me on instagram, or post it to my Facebook wall and I will accept your challenge!

WOW!

All I can say is WOW! Thank you! Today was an eventful day for me and my blog! I never imagined reaching over 600 followers AND over 100 likes on one of my poems AND doing it on the same day! I’m so thankful for all of you who have put your time toward reading/liking/commenting on my pieces and my blog.
I’m still growing as a writer and poet and I’m entirely grateful for those of you who have and continue to support me along the way.

500 Followers – Thank You!

I woke up this morning to this notification and let me just say, it made my week.

I’ve been having a ridiculously stressful past month or so and it has seemed as though nothing has been going my way. A lot of times, I feel as though no one listens to me or cares what I have to say. So, it means the world to me that over 500 people have actually taken the time to follow and read my blog.

I just wanted to make this post saying thank you, to not only my followers, but everyone who has ever taken the time to read, like, or comment on the things I have written. When I started this blog, I didn’t expect much, so this has blown me away. It really does mean so much to me. Thank you! 🙂

Interactive Poetry – I Need Your Help

There’s something I want to do, but I need your help!

With school, work, and every day life happening all the time, it’s sometimes challenging to think of something to write about. I’ll find myself in need of a little push to get my mind into gear. So, I would like to begin doing some interactive poetry.

An exercise I use when I have the time, want to write, but am feeling a blockage, is I use a word generator that gives me several words to think about to center my poem around.

Once a week, I would like to post an interactive poem, that was inspired by words given to me by you.
I will use the given word(s) in my poem and include a link to your site. All you need to do is comment random words!

I hope you will participate and that something great will come out of this!

What Speaks to You?

I realized that I write a lot of poems on thoughts, confusion, and the mind. I don’t really do this on purpose, it’s just what is on my…. mind. See, I can’t help it even when I’m not trying! Haha.
I want to write on other topics more often, but sometimes can’t think of anything that speaks to me. So, my question for you is, what speaks to you? What types of poems do you all enjoy reading?
