New Interactive Poetry!

Several months ago, I began doing something I call interactive poetry, which is where I ask my followers to provide me with words for new poems. I would like to start this back up, but add to it.
The purpose of this blog was, partly, to grow as a writer and I think one of the best ways for me to do that is to challenge myself. Err… have you challenge me!
Words are great and I still appreciate them if you offer, but I am also opening this to photo prompts.
If you would like to give me words or a photo for me to write a poem on, comment on this post, email me, tweet me, tag me on instagram, or post it to my Facebook wall and I will accept your challenge!

*If you participate and I don’t respond to your request within a day, remind me! It’s easy for my response to not go through or for me to forget to respond. I don’t want to accidentally ignore your prompt!*

Stop the 2015 Yulin Festival

Animals are more compassionate than most humans. How anyone could do this to these poor creatures, I will never understand. The animals in meat processing plants were born and bred specifically for that purpose, and they are treated much more humanely than these dogs are. No living creature should be tortured and forced to suffer just for any “festival.” Their lives are much more precious than the meat off their bones.

Please, please, please take a few moments and sign the petition to help save these animals: https://www.change.org/p/president-of-the-people-s-republic-of-china-stop-the-yulin-dog-meat-eating-festival

What Speaks to You?

I realized that I write a lot of poems on thoughts, confusion, and the mind. I don’t really do this on purpose, it’s just what is on my…. mind. See, I can’t help it even when I’m not trying! Haha.
I want to write on other topics more often, but sometimes can’t think of anything that speaks to me. So, my question for you is, what speaks to you? What types of poems do you all enjoy reading?
