Knowing Me

image

Knowing me
is such as knowing
a tree

One sure thing,
then I fray.
Each limb-
Each branch
tells a story
that may change
day by day.

Knowing me
is such as knowing
a bee.

I buzz about
-not taking kindly
to those who blindly
swat me away.
My buzzes are thoughts
transformed into rambles
I’m too afraid to shout.
So I say them quietly,
respecting propriety.
and whisper to myself.

Knowing me
is such as knowing
a key.

I unlock
what’s behind each door.
But the locks keep changing,
as people always do.
So more and more
get the key.
But what does it uncover?
Probably nothing.

-For knowing me
is such as knowing
a tree.
Each limb-
Each branch
tells a different story.

    1. Thank you very much! This was one that I didn’t try with at all. I just wrote it straight out in a few minutes. I had no meaning behind it other than boredom and I was shocked that it made sense haha. I’m really glad you enjoyed it πŸ™‚
